InsidEntity Publications, Edition 01, 19 October 2026. 140 of the more than 1,700 companies on the InsidEntity Platform are rated below 2 out of 5 on the Financial Stability Rating (FSR). Their average FSR is 1.35. Their average governance rating (CRR) is 3.57, so weak financial stability is not limited to companies with weak governance.
The 140 come from 30 countries. The United States has the most, with 33 companies, followed by Germany (15), France (13) and South Africa (12). Consumer Discretionary is the largest sector, with 30. Five companies sit at the bottom of the scale, on an FSR of 0.3: Dell Technologies, Altria, Avis Budget Group, Wayfair and Vantiva.
The edition lists every company, lowest FSR first, and sets out who is exposed when a company is financially weak: employees, shareholders, banks, suppliers, customers, landlords, directors and the wider community. For comparison, it closes with 20 companies from 20 countries rated 4.3 or above on the FSR.

Both ratings run 0 to 5 (5 benchmark). FSR is built from a rolling three years of full-year financials; CRR rates governance across director independence, director capacity, auditor independence and shareholder influence. Ratings are dynamic and can change as the latest information is loaded. You can look up any company in the list on our Company check page, or see its current ratings on the InsidEntity Platform.
